BIRD 2025: 5th UK Tiny Whoop Championship
This past weekend, Birmingham, UK, became the epicentre for drone enthusiasts, hosting the exhilarating 5th Annual Birmingham International Race Day (BIRD) Tiny Whoop Race.
International Flair
This year’s championship welcomed pilots from six countries—Poland, Latvia, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, and the USA. Their participation brought a rich diversity of flying skills and competitive spirits that elevated the races to new heights.
Stateside Invasion
The event featured a significant American presence, with icons like Nightwing, Daylight, and Tiny Whoop’s beloved founder, Jesse P, making notable appearances. Their involvement introduced diverse styles and tactics, thrilling the spectators with each manoeuvre.
A Festival Atmosphere
BIRD 2025 transcended typical racing events by incorporating a Silly Dress-Up competition, where attendees showcased their most imaginative costumes, creating a lively, carnival-like atmosphere. As night fell, disco lights illuminated the track, transforming each race into a mesmerizing light show.
